GENERAL INFORMATION INFORMATION


CLIMATE


The climate of the UAE is generally hot and dry. The hottest months are June till August when average maximum temperatures reach above 48°C (118.4 F) on the coastal plain.The UAE experiences mild weather in February, with temperatures typically ranging from 21°C to 26°C (70°F to 79°F). There is a possibility of rainfall during this period.

BANKING AND EXCHANGE

  • The official currency in UAE is Dirhams (AED/Dhs).

  • Banking hours are from Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 15:00. Banks are closed on weekends and in the afternoons. Please note that the weekend in this region is observed on Saturday and Sunday.

  • Automated cash dispensers are located outside every bank and other areas and cash can be withdrawn 24 hours a day.

  • Foreign currency may be exchanged at banks, hotels, airports and in exchange offices.

  • All major credit cards are accepted in most hotels, restaurants and shops.

TRANSPORTATION IN THE CITY

  • Dubai offers an efficient and modern public transport system that includes buses, Metro and taxis. Taxis are available outside the arrival gate. The journey to the city center takes approximately 20 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.

AIRPORT INFORMATION AND TRAVEL TO DUBAI

  • Dubai International Airport is a 20-minute drive from Zayed University Convention Center, Dubai, U.A.E.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR THE PARTICIPANTS:

• VISA REQUIREMENTS

  • Participants are advised to check the visa requirements with the UAE Consulate in their home country or with their travel agency. It is the participant's responsibility to obtain a visa if required for entry into the UAE.

  • All delegates must obtain entry visas prior to their arrival in the United Arab Emirates. The only exceptions are nationals of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states and certain other specified countries.

UNITED ARAB EMIRATES VISA REGULATIONS:

THE IMMIGRATION DEPARTMENT IS CLOSED ON PUBLIC HOLIDAYS, SATURDAYS & SUNDAYS.

THE RULES AND REGULATIONS GIVEN BELOW ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE SO WE STRONGLY ADVISE YOU TO VISIT THE UAE EMBASSY / CONSULATE IN YOUR COUNTRY.

Visa Exemptions: Nationals from certain countries in Europe, North America, and the Pacific Rim may be eligible for visa-free entry into the UAE. Upon arrival, their passports will typically be stamped with a visit visa by Immigration. Additionally, passengers from these countries can board flights at their airports of origin without requiring a visa. This policy applies to all UAE airports and passengers traveling on any airline.

The 47 countries are: Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brunei, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Seychelles, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States of America, Vatican City.

Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) States: Nationals of GCC countries are not required to apply for a visa in advance.

Nationals of countries not included in the GCC must apply for a visa in advance using the attached application form.

Residents of the following countries should check with the UAE Embassy/Consulate or a travel agent in their respective country for visa application requirements:

TUNISIA, SYRIAN, SOMALIA, YEMEN, BANGLADESH, LIBYA, PALESTINE

Passport Requirement: All passengers traveling to the United Arab Emirates must hold a valid passport that remains valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry into the UAE.

British Overseas Passport Holders: All passengers holding British Overseas Passports are not exempt from visa requirements to enter the United Arab Emirates. Such passengers are considered Non-UK Nationals and must have visas processed on their behalf prior to arrival in the UAE, similar to other nationalities.

Visa Approval and Conditions: All visa applications are subject to approval by the Immigration Authorities, and visas may be refused without reasons provided. If an approved visa remains unused, new visa requests will be rejected until the previous visa is canceled through the appropriate source.

Please note that all visas issued are valid for single entry only, and we are unable to process multiple entry visas. Therefore, if a participant leaves the UAE (by air, sea, or land) with the intention of returning, a new visa application will need to be submitted.

Travel Documents & Identification Certificates: Please note that certain travel documents and identification certificates are not recognized as valid passports by UAE Immigration. Participants traveling on such documents will not be permitted to enter the United Arab Emirates, and any visas issued against such documents will be considered null and void with non-refundable visa charges.

The only exception to this rule is for Hong Kong Chinese nationals holding Identity Certificates with 44 pages, which are accepted by UAE Immigration Authorities.

Cancellation/No Show Policy: Once a visa application has been processed or issued to the UAE Immigration Department by Congress Solutions International, our cancellation/no-show policy will apply. Entry visas will be processed within 30 days or less prior to the delegate's arrival. During this time, if the delegate cancels the visa application, a full non-refundable charge for the visa will apply. Additionally, if the delegate does not arrive as planned ('no show'), the delegate will be considered a 'no show' on arrival, and a full charge for the entry visa will be applied.

Visa Application Charges - Non-Refundable: All visa charges must be paid at the time of application and are non-refundable without exception. This means that if a visa is not granted by the Immigration Authorities, the visa charges will not be refunded or adjusted.

Correction of Visa Details: Once a visa is submitted or processed, any corrections required are considered a new visa application, and additional charges will be levied accordingly.

Requirements for Processing UAE Tourist Visas: All visa applications for tourist visas with an arrival date in the UAE will now require digital photographs to be submitted, along with a colored passport copy and visa application form.

LIABILITY AND INSURANCE

  • The organizers are not liable for any injury or damage to persons or property during the conference. Participants are advised to obtain their own personal travel and health insurance for the duration of their trip.
  • BADGES

    • All attendees, including participants, accompanying persons, and exhibitors, are kindly requested to wear their badges at all times during the conference to gain admission to the venue and other scheduled activities.
